The Solar Reflective Index (SRI) is a composite measure of a material's ability to reject solar heat. It combines two key properties: solar reflectance (how much sunlight is reflected) and thermal emittance (how efficiently the surface radiates absorbed heat away).
Traditional insulation materials work by slowing conductive heat transfer they resist heat movement but still allow gradual penetration. HeatGuard's SRI technology operates differently: it prevents heat absorption at the surface itself, keeping the underlying structure cool by reflection rather than resistance.
A standard black roof surface has an SRI of approximately 0. A conventional white coating achieves around 80–90. HeatGuard's formulation achieves an SRI of 99+ the highest available in commercial insulation products.
High-performance aluminium-based coating that reflects 99% of solar radiation instantly at contact.
Low-emissivity metallic film that prevents radiant heat transfer across the air gap.
Closed-cell foam matrix that traps air providing conductive insulation and structural integrity.
Prevents moisture ingress and interstitial condensation, protecting both the insulation and the structure.
Structural adhesion layer ensuring maximum contact and thermal continuity with the building substrate.
HeatGuard products are independently tested and certified to the highest international standards.
